Shannon Therese Offerman, MD, radiation oncologist, has special interest and experience in breast, prostate, gastrointestinal and gynecologic cancers, among others. Dr. Offerman believes it’s important to approach each patient individually. She makes sure that cancer treatment plans are customized to personal and lifestyle factors, as well as the disease. Treating the whole person this way ensures the best all-around cancer care. Dr. Offerman also strives to educate and support patients so that they are active participants in their treatment.
Special services provided by Dr. Offerman include high-dose rate brachytherapy, stereotactic radiosurgery and intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT). Her areas of academic interest have included breast IMRT, magnetic resonance imaging in glioblastoma and ocular brachytherapy. (01/12)
