Biography

As a board certified transplant hepatologist, K. Shiva Kumar, MD, specializes in the management of liver diseases and care of patients pre- and post liver transplantation. His areas of clinical and research interest include general hepatology and liver transplantation.

He has authored many publications and presented at national meetings addressing various aspects of hepatology. Prior to joining Aurora, he served as Medical Director of Liver Transplantation and Program Director of the Hepatology subspecialty training program at the Ochsner Clinic Foundation in New Orleans.
