Biography

Zane Prewitt, MD, is a board-certified surgeon performing general, vascular and bariatric surgery. While Dr. Prewitt performs the full scope of general and vascular surgery, his special interest is in minimally invasive surgery. He performs advanced laparoscopic surgery for colon, hernias and esophageal disease, bariatric surgery (bypass and Lap-Band), and thoracoscopy for lung disease. Dr. Prewitt also is trained to perform endovascular stents for aortic aneurysms, stereotactic biopsies for breast disease, and sentinel lymph node biopsy for skin or breast cancer.

Dr. Prewitt also is an assistant clinical professor of surgery at the Medical College of Wisconsin and a member of the American Society of Bariatric Surgery.
