Are you looking for a positive change to your overall wellness? Do you crave motivation and accountability? Are your workouts lacking intensity? Have you been frustrated with your time, effort and lack of results? Are you bored, seeking inspiration or just feel you do not know what you are doing?

If You Answered “Yes” to Any of These Questions

You will benefit from a personal training program created for you by one of the Aurora Wellness Center’s fitness specialists. Certified, college-educated trainers are here to help you reach your fitness and wellness goals. We are committed to providing a fun, challenging workout program that is tailored to your lifestyle.

Once you have selected a personal trainer, he or she will work with you by discussing your goals and designing a training program to meet your needs.

Finding the Right Trainer

Each Aurora Wellness Center fitness specialist has his or her own unique personal training style and techniques to help keep members on track. Talk with our trainers or other members to get an idea of which trainer might be best for you. Ask about philosophy and personal training styles. We do our best to match your personality and lifestyle with the right trainer.

Getting Started

After you have selected a trainer, choose a personal training package and complete a registration form at the Aurora Wellness Center service desk. Your trainer will call you within 24 to 48 hours to set up an initial one-on-one consultation to discuss your goals and to complete a fitness assessment. This will help determine your starting point. Flexibility, strength and cardio-endurance/heart-rate tests will be done at your trainer’s discretion. Girth measurements, body fat percentage and weight are also noted. Your trainer then will work with you to create an action plan and schedule training sessions.

Training and Results

Based on your training package, your trainer will design 30- or 60-minute training sessions for you.  There is no need to be scared. You and your trainer will work together to determine your comfort level and how hard you want to be pushed. Remember, we are here to help build your strength and confidence – to help you reach new heights and show you that you can do it. We want to challenge you and leave you craving more. You might find that some sessions fly by quickly, providing you can work hard and still have fun! These sessions will help you feel empowered, knowledgeable, excited and inspired.

Exercise is a proven way to feel better and relieve stress. We want to give you the knowledge and tools needed to make fitness and healthy habits part of your everyday life.

Support and Encouragement

We have been there. We know it can be difficult to step out of a comfort zone and ask for help, but taking this step helps lead to a new you. Do not be afraid to talk to your trainer and ask questions. Together, you will become a team aimed at keeping you on track and reaching your goals. Asking for help, working hard and pushing out of your comfort zone are all necessary steps toward the new you.

Individual and Small-Group Training Options

You can train one-on-one with your personal trainer or train alongside one or two other members.  Individual training means that 100 percent of your trainer’s attention is focused on you. Small-group sessions can save you money by sharing a trainer with family members or friends of similar abilities.  The choice is yours.

Complete a Personal Training registration form, located in the Membership office and at the service desk; submit with payment to the Aurora Wellness Center’s service desk.

Aurora Wellness Center membership is required for personal training. All personal training sessions will expire six months from the date of purchase. A 24-hour cancellation is necessary to avoid the session being charged against the sessions purchased. All sessions are nontransferable and nonrefundable. Credit will be issued on a prorated basis due to medical reasons. A physician’s note must be provided to the trainer within one week of discontinuing the program.
