At Aurora Medical Center in Kenosha we also serve as strong community partners with area organizations. We feature outreach programs that address teen pregnancy, drinking and drug issues in our community. And we partner with our schools through a program that invites area children visit our hospital to gain exposure to medical careers. You’ll also find our parish nurses out in the community providing health care services and our athletic trainers working with area school sports programs addressing prevention and on-field injuries. We also offer Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) services, a dedicated group of specially trained nurses on call 24/7 to provide forensic evaluations and emotional support for sexual assault victims.

Emergency Services: When an emergency strikes, you can count on our board-certified emergency physicians to deliver the full range of emergency treatments. As a Level III trauma center, and an accredited Stroke Center, our emergency specialists deliver time-sensitive tPA, the clot-busting drug, to reduce brain damage due to stroke. And our flight and ground transport teams stand ready to transfer patients to Aurora St. Luke’s Medical Center in Milwaukee if the need arises for tertiary care. Fully integrated with Aurora St. Luke’s, you’ll experience seamless care during a medical crisis.

Cancer Services: Designated as an Outstanding Cancer Program by the American College of Surgeon’s Commission on Cancer, our program was honored as one of the top 10 percent in the nation. In addition, our breast cancer program has earned accreditation for its quality, care and outcomes. On our campus, we provide surgical, medical and radiation oncology treatments with specialists who perform minimally invasive lung surgery and gynecological oncology here in Kenosha. Nurse navigators also help guide you through the diagnosis and treatment process as an advocate every step of the way. We also focus on survivorship with patient education shared by our dietitians, social workers and financial counselors to help you handle the many issues that arise with a cancer diagnosis and its treatment.

Women’s Health Care: For all phases of your life, we offer women’s services that address your needs. For moms and moms-to-be, you’ll benefit from our fertility services obstetric care and birthing services with LDRP suites. Our maternal/fetal physicians guide high-risk pregnancies and neonatal nurse practitioners offer care 24/7 in our Level II nursery. And for later in life, our specialists offer solutions for pelvic floor disorders and perform minimally invasive laparoscopic hysterectomies so you can return to your active life and improve your overall well-being.

Orthopedic Services: To help keep you active and on the go, our orthopedic specialists offer knee, hip and shoulder surgeries, many that are minimally invasive. We offer you access to orthopedic surgeons in every area of joint care, including a surgeon who specializes in revisions, procedures that replace failing joint replacements. The program also features Joint Camp for presurgical education—so you’re prepared for your surgery and the follow-up care that’s required for a successful outcome. And our rehabilitation services help you gain strength and agility. We also feature the Aurora Sports Medicine Institute that offers an array of injury and performance offerings to get you back to the activities that you enjoy doing—improved and pain-free.

Aurora eICU: For another level of care, eICU combines intensive care specialists and advanced technology with bedside staff to offer an unprecedented level of care for our critically ill patients. Using telemedicine technology, patients are connected to off-site critical care specialists for electronic monitoring—shown to reduce ICU mortality rates by 25 percent, decrease complications, shorten the length of hospital stays and reduce costs.
