In addition, Aurora Medical Center in Manitowoc County is the only hospital in the county with certification by The Joint Commission for its stroke program.

More than 400 babies open their eyes for the first time each year in our medical center. And, thanks to a dynamic, patient-focused group of OB physicians, our Birthing Center deliveries have blossomed each year and the babies remain in the Aurora family under the care of our outstanding pediatricians.

In 2009, Aurora Medical Center in Manitowoc County was honored with commendationas an Outstanding Achievement cancer accreditationprogram, a special award from the Commission on Cancer. And in 2010, our hospital achieved Cardiac Rehabilitation Certification for meeting set standards and criteria, best practices and a high quality of care for our work with heart patients.
