Featured Specialty Medical Services

Aurora Women’s Pavilion: More than a decade in the planning, this unique concept was developed after feedback from women throughout southeastern Wisconsin. Women asked for a healing environment that’s transformative, restorative and uplifting, with services that are integrated and accessible at one location. Designed for privacy and comfort, the pavilion offers tertiary women’s obstetric care for routine and high-risk pregnancies, maternal fetal medicine and a Level III newborn intensive care unit (NICU). Aurora Women’s Pavilion also serves as an Epi Center for gynecologic oncology and Wisconsin’s first nationally accredited breast program. You’ll also benefit from The Karen Yontz Women’s Cardiac Awareness Center—created to help women understand the risks they face regarding cardiac disease and steps to prevent it. In addition, we feature the Garden of the Senses boutique where you may select hats, scarves, and make-up and skin care products that soothe and enhance irritated skin after chemotherapy and radiation therapy treatments.

Comprehensive Breast Care Center: The Women’s Pavilion at Aurora West Allis is also home to a breast center that’s accredited by the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC), a program administered by the American College of Surgeons. This certification and national honor ensures that our patients will have access to comprehensive care, including a full range of state-of-the-art services and a multidisciplinary team approach to coordinate the best treatment options, including information about ongoing clinical trials and new treatments options.

Cancer Services: We offer full complement of medical oncology treatments including physicians specializing in medical hematology/oncology, chemotherapy infusion and radiation oncology—all in one easy-to-access location.

Critical Care Services: At Aurora West Allis, we feature a 16-bed combined medical surgical intensive care unit. Our seriously ill patients are cared for on-site by our critical care nurses and physicians. In addition, we monitor ICU patients off-site 24/7 by Aurora eICU, an electronic surveillance system monitored by critical care physicians who offer an extra level of care.

Emergency Services: Our board-certified emergency physicians are trained in how to deal with life-threatening or emergency situations, and are supported by the latest medical technology and patient-flow strategies. Open 24/7, our emergency department features a unique Door to Doctor program that allows less severely ill patients to be treated more rapidly. In addition, we feature a Sexual Assault Treatment Center that offers safe and caring services to survivors of rape, incest, sexual abuse and sexual assault. Plus, we’re certified by The Joint Commission as a Stroke Center to deliver time-sensitive treatments for stroke patients. And if needed, you’ll have direct access to extraordinary specialized care available at Aurora St. Luke’s Medical Center in Milwaukee, home to the state’s leading cardiac program.

Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine: The center features hyperbaric oxygen chambers that accelerate healing for wounds that just don’t heal on their own because of chronic medical conditions such as diabetes and poor circulation.

Rehabilitation Services: Featuring physical, occupational and speech therapy, our rehabilitation programs help to reduce your physical and mental limitations caused by conditions such as stroke, neurological disorders, spinal cord injuries, head injuries, arthritis, serious fractures or loss of limb. We also offer low-vision and balance/vestibular (inner ear) programs to help you return to living your life to the fullest.

Surgery: We offer eight operating rooms daily with a full complement of surgical capabilities for inpatients and day surgery patients. We also feature laser, laparoscopic and robotic surgeries for gynecological and urologic patients for a quicker recovery from many conditions.
