Shared leadership – A method Aurora uses to train nurses in decision-making. This program provides education to all nurses to develop skills needed to become an effective leader and an autonomously practicing nurse.

Aurora System Nursing Alliance – The council allows nurses to be connected to each other no matter where they are located. Membership in ASNA is an expectation of all nurses within the system. Activities vary from being aware of the structure for decision-making, to supporting colleagues who are council members, to serving on the council or work groups.

Shared governance - Aurora's nursing leadership drives down the decision-making to the level of the staff nurse.
