Unions are the only financial institutions that are democratically-owned and
controlled non-profit cooperatives managed by volunteer boards of directors.
As a member-owner, you elect the board.
According to
Aurora Credit Union's bylaws, the $25.00 membership in your
Regular Savings represents your ownership in the Credit Union and
entitles you to voting privileges.
Aurora Credit
Union also uses the Regular Savings for special mailings
and notices to the membership; by maintaining a $25.00 balance in your
savings account, you are ensured that you will be informed of special
promotions, new services and discounts available only to our members.
The $25.00 membership deposit is refunded to members upon closure of
their Credit Union account; all privileges associated with membership
are simultaneously suspended.
