Jonathan Brueggeman, MD is an experienced podiatrist offering complete foot and ankle care for a wide range of problems, including broken bones of the foot and ankle, torn ligaments and tendons, bunions, hammer toes, heel spurs, ingrown toenails, arch pain, arthritis, diabetic and non-diabetic wound/ulcer care and fungal infections of the skin and nails. He enjoys seeing patients of all ages and particularly appreciates the opportunity to establish long-term relationships with patients with diabetes and those needing preventive care to maintain good health.
In addition to general podiatric medicine and surgery, Dr. Brueggeman offers special expertise in wound care, ankle joint arthroscopy and surgical correction of foot and ankle deformities such as Flatfoot, Charcot foot, Cavus or high-arched foot and Clubfoot. Dr. Brueggeman also has experience with athletes, having taken athletic training courses during his undergraduate studies and current work with biomechanics of the foot and ankle while in school and residency.
Dr. Brueggeman is a graduate of the highly-regarded Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine. He served his residency in podiatric surgery at St. Joseph's Hospital in Chicago, and the North Chicago Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center where he was Chief Resident of one of the largest residency programs in the country.
