Twitter Surgery Details
On Thursday, April 16, at 8 a.m.(CDT), Aurora Health Care became the first hospital system in Wisconsin to provide live updates of an exclusive bi-lateral knee replacement surgery on the Internet, using the popular social-networking site, Twitter.
Twitter is a social-networking site that allows its users to post brief messages. These messages (called "tweets") are a maximum of 140 characters in length, displayed on the user's profile page and delivered to other users (known as followers) who have subscribed to them.
