For patients and their families
Tertiary care is provided to patients requiring specialized medical treatment not available in their community hospital. Aurora Health Care provides tertiary care at Aurora St. Luke's Medical Center on Milwaukee's south side, Aurora Sinai Medical Center adjacent to downtown Milwaukee, and the Aurora Women's Pavilion of Aurora West Allis Medical Center in West Allis, a southeast suburb of Milwaukee.
The facility selected will usually be determined by the type of care required. That's why the facility is typically
selected by the referring physician and critical care specialist in collaboration with the tertiary access coordinator, rather than by the patient or family.
Aurora provides a variety of support services for tertiary care patients and their families. For more information, you may contact the tertiary access coordinator toll-free at 800-444-0289.
