Aurora Medical Center in Oshkosh

Aurora Medical Center Oshkosh (AMCO) is an 84-bed technologically advanced environment, and better communication, with more access to information and greater efficiency. The hospital is designed to relieve stress, promote privacy, and foster an environment of caring and respect and most importantly, speed the healing process.

AMCO is located 3/4 mile west of the intersection of highways 41 and 21 in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. As part of large integrated healthcare system, spanning the eastern half of Wisconsin and comprised of four general regions (North, Central, Metro and South), AMCO is located within the western half of the Central Region. The surgery center at Fond du Lac is also affiliated with AMCO.

AMCO is a member of the Fox Valley Health Care Alliance; a collaboration of healthcare facilities and academic institutions in the Fox Valley area seeking to recognize workforce development needs and create uniformity within the student clinical placement process.

Helpful Information:

Orientation

  1. Start by clicking on FVHCA Orientation and complete the 2 General Orientation Modules listed below.  Follow the instructions in the modules. Start with “a.”
    1. FVHCA: Infection Control – Bloodborne Pathogens/OSHO – Safety Orientation
    2. FVHCA: HIPAA-Confidentiality-Compliance Orientation module
  2. Next, print the following documents for Aurora Oshkosh orientation.
    1. AMCO Student/Instructor Orientation Checklist
    2. Student/Instructor Badge Issue Form
    3. Minimum Necessary Use of Information Worksheet
    4. FVHCA: Organization Specific Orientation Signature Form
  3. Complete the following on-line AMCO Orientation module and follow the instructions and links.
    1. Orientation to Aurora Medical Center Oshkosh  (PowerPoint file)

Turn in to AMCO Education Department:

  1. AMCO Orientation Checklist - completed and signed
  2. Student Badge Issue Form
  3. Minimum Necessary Use of Information Worksheet 

Turn in to clinical instructor or school coordinator:

  1. FVHCA: Confidentiality Statement and General Orientation Signature Form
  2. FVHCA: Organization Specific Orientation Signature Form
