Complementary medicine

Meditation

Acupuncture | Yoga | Massage | Craniosacral therapy | Meditation | Tai Chi | Aromatherapy

Meditation has been proven to help people lower stress levels and better manage their daily tasks. Understanding how to center your thoughts on the positive and feel more in control, meditation can be associated with decreasing the effects of stress, mild depression and anxiety.

Physically, meditation has been linked with a decrease in metabolic rate, a lower heart rate and reduced workload on your heart. It has even been credited with lowering cholesterol levels, improving lung function with easier breathing and even possibly slowing down the aging process.

Meditation can be used alone as a mental exercise in relaxation, or combined with physical exercise like yoga or tai chi.
