Complementary medicine

Meditation

Acupuncture | Mindfulness-based stress reduction | Yoga | Massage | Craniosacral therapy | Meditation | Tai Chi | Aromatherapy

Breathe deep and slow. Shift your body weight to your left leg and stretch your arms out to the left, now slowly sway your arms and your body weight over to the right. Tai Chi brings balance to the human spirit, mind and body.

Tai Chi means “all encompassing” and refers to stimulating both the physical and mental state of a person. Through this form of moving meditation, individuals are directed to focus on each motion and become aware of the processes in the bodies and mind. Focused on the peaceful quality of physical movement and mental thought, it is believed Tai Chi can also provide spiritual insight.

It is ideal to promote relaxation, relieve tension, open up joints and allow a person's energy, vitality or “chi” to flow freely through the body.

Tai Chi is an easy to adapt form of exercise and relaxation in that it requires no equipment, only motivation and perseverance. Its non-impact format is .easy on individuals with injuries or limited motion.
