Women's Digestive HealthCenter

Care coordinator

Care coordinator | Colorectal screening | Genetics counseling | Acupuncture | Biofeedback

Digestive health issues alone can be intimidating. They deal with a very personal aspect of our health. At the Aurora Women's Pavilion, we have a care coordinator who will listen to your concerns, answer your questions and be there for you when you have health concerns regarding your digestive tract.

From scheduling appointments for diagnostic testing to acquainting you with the vast choices of complementary resources, your personal care coordinator is the person you can turn to during all aspects of your care. She is your advocate and educator.

If you have concerns about any tests that are scheduled or the prep that is required for them, talk with your personal care coordinator. Knowing you have someone you can call who is knowledgeable about colorectal screening and digestive health concerns and treatment options can provide peace of mind. For example, to clean out your colon prior to colonoscopies, there are now tablets available that work nicely or you may prefer the liquid drink. Your care coordinator can help make this procedure as comfortable as possible for you.

Colorectal cancer is a disease we know how to prevent. However, it requires preventive testing. We're here to support you in the process so that embarrassment or fear no longer keep you from living a healthy full life.
