Faces of the Pavilion

Katie Fetzer

“I truly believe that I am here today because of their expertise, unending support and overwhelming kindness.”

23 years old and an ovarian cancer survivor. Somehow, when mapping out her life as a little girl, Katie Fetzer forgot to include that in her plan.

In March of 2006, she walked into the Aurora Women's Pavilion in extreme pain, both mentally and physically. Today, Katie is a cancer survivor. She believes the staff at the Aurora Women's Pavilion gave her an incredible gift -- the opportunity to show others the same compassion and support that was shown to her.

Katie has quite a story to tell. Thank you, Katie, for sharing your experience, and for inspiring other women to explore a path of total well being at the Aurora Women's Pavilion at Aurora West Allis Medical Center.
