A leader in compassionate and innovative care

Peter Johnson, MD
gynecologic oncologist

“Through my training and experience, I am committed to providing my patients the highest standard of care, including incorporating medical education and clinical research into my practice. This commitment allows me and my Aurora Women's Pavilion gynecologic oncology team to offer state of the art treatment to women with gynecologic cancers as well as those women requiring potentially complex pelvic surgery.”

Dr. Peter Johnson practices the kind of individualized care that has become the Pavilion's hallmark. He is a board-certified gynecologic oncologist, and accomplished physician, surgeon and medical instructor.

He graduated from the University of Wisconsin Medical School then completed a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Chicago. He completed a fellowship at the University of Minnesota with advanced training in laparoscopic gynecologic cancer surgery. After completing his gynecologic oncology fellowship, Dr. Johnson was initially in academic practice at the Medical College of Wisconsin, then practiced in Waukesha and most recently with the Women's Cancer Center in Reno, Nevada, where he furthered his laparoscopic surgical expertise.
