Menopausal Health

The natural midlife transition each woman goes through brings about all sorts of questions. It is hard to understand what is happening to our bodies, and even harder to know who to talk to for answers to our questions. What is right for one woman may not be right for you.

You may be experiencing symptoms that seem like menopause but you’re not sure, or maybe you’re wondering how menopause will affect your health and wellbeing? It’s important for all women to be empowered with the knowledge of how menopause can affect their bones, heart, and more.

Perhaps you are overwhelmed and confused with the many mixed messages being delivered by the media and health care profession? Like a lot of women you probably have questions about the use of hormone therapy and if it’s right for you? Or maybe you would like to know more about the difference between bio-identical hormones and those referred to as synthetic? Many women would agree that most importantly you want to discuss your own personal risk and have a specialist help make the right decision for you.

Some women have specific health concerns such as a history of cancer or another condition that prevent the use of hormone therapy. At the Aurora Women’s Pavilion, Center for Optimal Health and Wellness, our experts can lead you through the vast non-hormonal options available to help manage your menopause symptoms.

During your initial hour-long consultation our menopause expert, Dr. Laurie Bailey, will assess your unique concerns and help you to create a personalized approach to successfully navigate your menopause journey. Whether it’s questions about hot flashes or bone health, sexual function or heart disease, Dr. Bailey and the Center for Optimal Health and Wellness have the answers.

To schedule your initial hour-long consultation call 414-329-5930.
