The vision behind the care

The Aurora Women's Pavilion is a place where you can take care of the whole you – mind, body and spirit. As a partner in your health care, we honor your wisdom and are motivated to provide an experience that reflects:

  • A commitment to the creation of a healing environment that supports the needs of women in transition and transformation, as well as the team of care providers dedicated to your care
  • The opportunity to enhance your knowledge, honor your wisdom and expand your ability to improve your own heath and the health of others in your family
  • Honoring each woman as a unique individual with resiliency and strengths that will assist you in caring for yourself, adapting to life's experiences, fulfilling multiple role demands and coping with stressors
  • A commitment to helping a woman design her own health plan of nutrition, exercise and mind-body practice to help reduce the onset of severe diseases such as diabetes, cancer and cardiovascular disease
  • Access to multiple alternatives, including state-of-the-art medical services, fully integrated specialty and subspecialty programs and complementary care
  • The delivery of evidence-based health care with integrity, recognizing the need to support each woman as you become a responsible partner in your own healing
  • Cultural sensitivity and cultural competency
  • The inclusion of members of the social structure and family as active participants in the care
  • Integration and coordination across disciplines, programs, services and sites
  • The blending of complementary medicine into each service
