Adolescent Substance Abuse Program
Therapist Brian Clark,LCSW facilitates a group for adolescents who are struggling with substance abuse issues. The group is open to teens between ages 14 and 18 who are struggling with abuse or addiction issues. College students are excluded. Some of the issues that will be addressed include how is addiction defined, medical consequences, marijuana as a gateway drug as well as use vs abuse vs dependence. The group will also foster relapse prevention, emphasizing drink or drug refusal strategies along with sober support systems.
Group members must first be assessed by Brian Clark, LCSW to determine appropriateness for the group milieu. To make a referral, contact central scheduling at (414) 773-4312 to schedule an assessment with Brian.
