Can I Wear My Own Clothes?
Yes, you may wear your own clothing while attending the treatment program. We do ask, however, that you dress modestly. If you have a question about a particular item of clothing, you may ask a staff member. When attending the inpatient program, we ask that you not bring clothing with drawstrings.
Do You Take Insurance?
Yes, we are contracted with many insurance plans and make every effort to work with your financial situation. Please call our Admission and Referral Coordinator at (414) 454-6694 to find out more specifics about how we can work with your insurance.
When are visiting hours?
Visiting hours are:
Monday through Friday 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Saturday 4 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Sunday 3 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Visiting Hours for the Adolescent Unit are:
Monday through Friday 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Sunday 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m.
Will I Have a Roommate?
You will have a private room located on the Eating Disorder Unit.
Do You Accommodate for Vegetarians?
We are culturally sensitive and will make necessary arrangements for those with special dietary needs. We have created specific meal plans for those choosing a vegetarian, or kosher lifestyle. Our dietitians will work with you to explore the reasons behind these alternative behaviors surrounding food choice.
What Should I Bring?
Our Admissions and Referral Coordinator will email or mail you this information prior to your arrival at our program.
What Should I Expect When I Arrive?
When you arrive for admission to the program you will begin by meeting with both a staff member from the eating disorder program and the business office to complete admission paperwork. You will receive an orientation binder, complete forms and have question and answer time We will give you the names of your Individual Therapist, Dietitian, and Psychiatrist. Within the first 24 hours you will have a physical examination, nutritional assessment, and psychiatric assessment.
Can I Do Laundry?
Yes, if you attend our inpatient program you will have access to our laundry facilities at the hospital.
How Do You Know How Much I Should Eat?
Upon admission you will fill out a nutritional assessment, which the Registered Dietitian will use to complete an individualized meal plan for you based on your unique needs.
What is a Typical Day Like?
The inpatient day begins at 6:30 a.m. when you will be awakened for vital signs, showering, and preparing for the day.
The partial hospitalization group arrives at 10:30 a.m. and organized groups begin and continue until 6:00 p.m. Lunch and Dinner are considered part of the therapeutic experience.
