Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Center Behavioral Health services offer a patient centered interdisciplinary approach to the provision of inpatient services for individuals with acute behavioral health concerns. Since 1951, we have provided customized programming for individuals with acute or chronic mental illness, or for those seeking recovery from substance abuse. We incorporate the most recent evidence based research to develop an individualized treatment plan for each patient. We provide acute care for many behavioral health issues including:
- Depression and Anxiety
- Bipolar Disorder

Adult Services
The Adult Program is located within a secured unit with 18 single rooms and two double rooms. Four lounges are available for group therapy as well as visitation and leisure time. Each patient is assigned a daily schedule designed to assist their journey through the continuum of care as they progress. The therapeutic program is designed around four cornerstones; Hope, Healing, Empowerment, and Connection. Emphasis is placed on assisting each person to their optimal level of functioning and providing them with the resources for continuing care upon discharge.
Adolescent Services
The Adolescent program is designed to meet the unique needs of patients between age 12 and 18 with acute or chronic mental illness, behavioral issues or substance abuse concerns. The 7 bed unit is separate form the adult unit. The unit is designed to provide safety security with locked doors and room alerts. Emphasis is placed on integrating family members into the treatment process of each patient for optimal outcome. High staff to patient ratios allow for optimal individualized treatment.
