Aurora St. Luke's South Shore offers comprehensive acute care, rehabilitation services, behavioral medicine, and a 24-hour emergency service staffed by Aurora St. Luke's Medical Center emergency medicine specialists.

Our advanced continuum of care, which includes care management, offers a broad and diversified range of services designed to meet the needs of each community and maintain a consistent level of quality care. Through our full spectrum of services, we provide the least restrictive, most cost-effective care available. We offer specialized inpatient and intensive outpatient programming for adults.

Evaluation, assessment, and referral services

Our highly trained staff of physicians, masters-level therapist, registered nurses and other allied professionals completes a prompt and thorough evaluation to identify the presence and severity of a behavioral health problem. The team determines the most appropriate level of care and connects the individual and/or family with the necessary resources. A treatment plan with specific goals and time frame is then developed to meet the unique needs of the patient.

Inpatient hospital services

This program is designed for those with a mental health crisis or chemical detox from addiction who require 24-hour nursing care and a safe, secure, and supportive environment. Once a patient is stabilized an interdisciplinary treatment team assesses the individual and designs a treatment plan to prepare the patient for outpatient services. This plan follows the individual through the whole continuum of care.

Adult chemical/dual diagnosis services

Aurora St. Luke's South Shore provides a wide range of services for adults struggling with alcoholism, drug dependency, gambling and other addictive behaviors. Through our continuum or care, a variety of treatment options are available allowing the physician or therapist to design a program tailored to meet the special needs of each individual. We offer inpatient detoxification and an evening intensive outpatient program for rehabilitation. This helps ensure a lasting recovery.

Adult psychiatric services

At Aurora St. Luke's South Shore, we understand that maintaining individual dignity is an important part of our responsibility as health care professionals. Our staff is committed to helping individuals find solutions to personal, work and family problems, and achieve health, stability and quality of life.
