Leadership Team

Pauline Krutilla, MS, CEAP, Director, EAP
Pauline originally joined the Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center team of EAP counselors in May, 1999. In 2005, she became the Manager of Employer Services, and more recently was appointed as the Director. Pauline holds a Master of Science degree in Guidance and Counseling with an emphasis in Alcohol and other Drug Treatment from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. She is certified by the State of Wisconsin as an Advanced Practice Social Worker and also is a Certified Employee Assistance Professional (CEAP).

Pauline has worked in the EAP field since 1987. She has been trained as a Substance Abuse Professional (SAP), and she has extensive clinical/consultation experience in working with both employers and employees.

The Aurora EAP serves more than 300 Wisconsin employers with the capacity to provide a full continuum of care that integrates the traditional EAP with work-life balance, comprehensive health and wellness, behavioral health management and student and family assistance services.

Janet Schirtzinger, LCSW, LMFT, Manager of Clinical Services, EAP
Ms. Schirtzinger has 30 years experience in behavioral health and over 15 years of experience in the EAP field. She has a Master's degree in Social Work from the University of Wisconsin and post-graduate training in marriage and family therapy. Her experience as a social worker and psychotherapist has been in a wide variety of settings including community services, hospitals, and mental health clinics. She has managed and supervised clinical services in community settings and in outpatient behavioral health clinics.

Janet is responsible for the delivery of all EAP services that are provided to individuals and families, including EAP assessments and behavioral health management.

Steve Wagner, Health Services Consultant, EAP
Steve joined the EAP as a business development consultant, responsible for increasing the market share of the Aurora EAP, and stimulating business growth in the Wisconsin marketplace. Steve has received his BA in the College of Letters and Science from the University of Wisconsin, and has six years of inside and outside business-to-business sales and marketing experience. In addition to his sales and marketing background, Steve has two years of account executive experience; servicing the needs of, and enhancing relationships with a myriad of Wisconsin-based businesses. He is familiar with the industry-specific needs of companies within the medical, financial, legal, industrial and municipal sectors.

Marcella BlomWillis, BA, Supervisor, EAP
Marcella joined Aurora EAP in 2003, after beginning her career in the human resources and non-profit service fields. She supervises the Intake and Administrative teams. Marcella also coordinates Aurora EAP's national network of EAP Affiliate providers through credentialing, training new affiliates and ongoing communication to insure seamless service delivery. Marcella also insures that our staff is credentialed with other EAP partners throughout the nation and complies with their service requirements in serving local clients.

Account Executives

Max Radcliffe, MS, CEAP
As a Certified Employee Assistance Professional, Max has over twenty years experience in the field of behavioral health and approximately 15 years in the EAP field. Max has a Masters degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from UW-Milwaukee.

Max has worked with a variety of populations including impaired professionals, dually diagnosed men (primary psychiatric and secondary substance abuse diagnoses), and hearing impaired substance abusers in a variety of settings including residential and inpatient. Max also has worked in sales, marketing and business development in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries.

Max has a special interest in DOT (Department of Transportation) matters and conducts DOT Supervisory Training. Max believes that every employee is worth helping and that every effort should be made to help EAP client companies retain their most valuable resource, their people.

Mike Rupsch, LCSW, LPC
Mike has received his Master degree in Human Development Counseling from Sangamon State University (now University of Illinois, Springfield) in Springfield, Illinois. He is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Licensed Professional Counselor for the state of Wisconsin. Mike has over 17 years of experience in the behavioral health field.

Before joining the Account Executive team at Aurora EAP, Mike was a Program Psychotherapist for Aurora Psychiatric Hospital for over 8 years. He brings a solid practical and theoretical background in behavioral health treatment to Aurora EAP.

Mike's move to the EAP field was precipitated by a strong desire to be involved professionally in early intervention in the behavioral health field. He has a strong belief that individuals need practical knowledge and skills to negotiate change on a daily basis.

Nancy Buchanan, MS
Nancy holds a Master of Science degree in Educational Psychology with an emphasis in Community Counseling from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. She also has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from Cardinal Stritch University.

Before joining the Aurora EAP as an Account Executive in 2007, Nancy had a diverse work history, with behavioral health being the main focus of her work. Her past experience includes EAP positions where she provided assessment counseling, training and management of company accounts. She also has experience in general counseling, and outplacement.

Nancy's core work value is service to others. She believes that, on occasion, everyone could use some help and that the EAP is one of the most valuable employee benefits a company can provide for its employees.

Pamela Krueger, MSW
Pamela has her Masters degree in Social Work with an emphasis in education from UW-Milwaukee. She is a certified social worker with over twenty years of experience in the mental health field.

Pamela has worked with a variety of populations including: substance abuse, emotionally, cognitively, and behaviorally challenged youth and their families, crisis intervention, program development, and providing in-service training to staff.

Pamela's core work value is to assist others in maximizing each individual company to their highest potential. Pamela joined the EAP team of Account Executives in 2011.

Peter Moran, LPC, CEAP
Peter has a Masters degree in Community Human Services for UW–Green Bay. He is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and is certified as an Employee Assistance Professional (CEAP). Since 2004, Peter has been a qualified Substance Abuse Professional (SAP). Peter has over 30 years of experience in the behavioral health field as a counselor, supervisor and account executive. He has been with Aurora's EAP since 2003. Peter works for Aurora EAP both as an Account Executive and an EAP Counselor.

EAP Counselors

Ellen Houser, LCSW
Ellen received her graduate degree in Social Welfare from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Her graduate studies included completion of the Certification Program in Marriage and Family Therapy. She has worked in residential treatment for emotionally disturbed adolescents and has extensive experience in adoption and adoption issues. Her clinical experience includes treatment of depression, anxiety, marriage and family issues, and medical social work. Ellen joined the EAP counseling team in 2002.

Sandra L. Stadler, LCSW, CEAP
Sandra completed her Master's degree at the University of Chicago with an emphasis in Psychology. Sandy has served as a clinical social worker in the Sheboygan area since 1994 and has worked with various dimensions of mental health treatment and family systems. Sandy is a Certified Employee Assistance Professional (CEAP) and has worked in the field for over 10 years.

Carole A. Stewart, LCSW
Carole is an EAP counselor and psychotherapist whose practice includes individual and family therapy to children (ages 6-12), adolescents and adults. She has been with the Aurora EAP for 14 years. Her treatment approach is systematic and strength based, utilizing cognitive behavioral techniques to address mood and anxiety symptoms, stress management, life transitions, and workplace issues and parenting concerns. Carole is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison and has nearly 30 years of clinical experience.

Darlene B. Wareham, LMFT, BCPCC
Darlene Wareham joined the staff as an EAP assessment counselor in 1996 as a student intern, while completing her postgraduate work at the Family Therapy Training Institute. She completed her MS degree in Educational Psychology with an emphasis in Community Counseling from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in 1995. She has a wide variety of clinical experience including a private Christian counseling practice working with a variety of mental health and marriage and family issues.

Debra Gonzales Zauner, LCSW, CEAP, CSAC
Debi has been part of the Aurora EAP staff since 1989. Prior to the EAP, Debi worked for the Marathon County Health Care Center in Wausau for two years and one year for Unified Services of Waukesha County. She has received both her BA and MS in Social Work degrees from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She is a member of the Academy of Certified Social Workers. Debi is also a Certified Alcoholism Counselor in the state of Wisconsin. She has extensive work experience with the chemically dependent, families of the addicted person and adult children of alcoholics. She was awarded her Certified Employee Assistance Professional (CEAP) designation in 1994.

Aimee Hay, MSW, LCSW
Aimee holds a Master of Social Work degree from Arizona State University-Tempe. She is also a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Aimee has been working in the field of mental health since 1998. She has provided case management focused on children, adults and families with a high level of need. She also has an extensive background in providing counseling; for individuals in hospitals, for those in emergent/crisis situations in the community and others with general mental health needs in outpatient settings. Aimee has long-standing dual interests in the medical and behavioral health fields, which led her to the EAP.

Joe Glassman, LCSW
Joe has 10 years of providing counseling in an EAP setting. He was a mental health counselor in multiple settings for 15+ years prior to that. With 10+ years as a Substance Abuse Provider (SAP, a service agent for the Dept. of Transportation), he has a strong interest in addiction recovery, for the addict as well as affected family members and friends. Joe has experience with children and families, couples, and people struggling with their own issues. He has a two year post graduate intensive training experience in Brief Strategic Solution Focused Counseling. He has enjoyed mentoring graduate students throughout his career.

Jill Szurek, LMFT-IT, LPC-IT, SAC-IT
Jill received her Master of Counseling degree from Lakeland College and continues her education at Family Therapy Training Institute in Milwaukee. With a special interest in helping families facing addiction, Jill has served as an addiction intervention facilitator and is currently pursuing licensure as a Substance Abuse Counselor. Most recently, Jill became an integral part of implementing the EAP team's wellness initiative counseling nearly 300 clients as they addressed personal challenges relating to weight loss and health enhancement.

Michelle L. Sierra, MS, MFT-IT
Michelle Sierra joined the staff in 2013. She completed her MS degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Capella University-Minnesota in 2011. Her main interest is working with children and families. She also has a bachelor's degree and teaching experience in Elementary Education and Special Education which brings added understanding to the academic and school related concerns families have for their children. She has clinical experience working with individuals, couples, and families from various socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds as well as within the foster care system. Her treatment approach is systemic and strength-based, utilizing solution focused and motivational interviewing techniques to address various life stressors and transitions individuals, couples, and families face in today's fast-paced world.

Case Managers

Bernie Fluhr, LCSW, LMFT
Bernie has been on the EAP staff since 1994. He has experience within the EAP as an Assessment Counselor and as a Case Manager. His graduate degree is in social work and has postgraduate training in many areas of mental health, as well as family and gambling issues. He has worked as an outpatient therapist for many years treating families, couples and individuals. He truly enjoys talking with others and helping to resolve issues.

Jeff Andersen, RN
Jeff has 30 years of psychiatric nursing experience. He is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay and University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. He holds degrees in Sociology, Regional Analysis and Nursing. Jeff has had a variety of nursing positions including staff RN, Head Nurse, Supervisor and Manager of Utilization Management. Jeff is a behavioral health case manager, employed by Aurora EAP since 1997. He provides acute care management, consultations, Stress Management presentations to Employee and EAP companies, and is an active member of Aurora's Wellness Committee.

Dan Voss, MS, LPC
Dan has a Master's Degree in Guidance and Counseling from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, and is licensed as a Professional Counselor. He has over 13 years of experience in the behavioral health field, with experience in residential and inpatient treatment as well as care coordination. Dan is a Behavioral Health Management case manager, employed with Aurora EAP from 2005-2010 and then returned to Aurora EAP in 2013.

Intake Department

Denise Driver
As the Lead Intake Coordinator, Denise oversees the day to day functioning of a Department that responds to incoming calls from employees and families associated with more than 300 employers. She has over 5 years experience in EAP and more than 15 years of experience in the field of behavioral health. As a champion for “putting clients first, always”, Denise excels at problem solving and consistently advocates for the provision of quality, responsive services for our contracted employers and their employees.

Maria Gonzales
As a bilingual Intake Coordinator, Maria brings more than 20 years of experience in working with English and Spanish speaking clients in a variety of community service, EAP and behavioral health settings. Maria is part of a team where more than 80% of clients rated their first contact/experience with EAP as Very Good, our highest survey satisfaction measure.

Sherita Maxwell
Sherita has over 7 years of mental health experience working and volunteering with diverse populations in the community and medical settings. She has acquired her bachelor's degree in Behavioral Science & Psychology and is currently working on her graduate degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Sherita is part of a team where meeting client's needs are a top priority. She utilizes resources within the EAP and the community to aid in meeting client's needs.

Administrative Staff

Anne Harter, Administrative Assistant
Anne joined Aurora EAP in August 2013. Prior to joining Aurora, Anne worked as an Executive Assistant at a non-profit organization. She is responsible for assisting in the day-to-day operations in the Wauwatosa office and helps support the EAP leadership team. Anne graduated from UW-Milwaukee with a BA in Business Administration.

Judy Gutschow, Administrative Assistant Associate
Judy has been with Aurora for 20+ years working primarily in the outpatient behavioral health services field before joining EAP in 2005. While assisting in the day-to-day operations at the Plymouth location, she is responsible for Affiliate data entry, Account Invoicing, and Fee for Service billing.

SayRena Yang, Administrative Assistant Senior
SayRena joined Aurora EAP in late 2011. Prior to joining Aurora, SayRena worked in the advertising industry for 20+ years. She is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations in the Wauwatosa office and is the primary support for the EAP leadership team.
