The Vince Lombardi Sheboygan clinic was established in 1994 as the first satellite of the Vince Lombardi Cancer Clinic in Milwaukee. Known then as the Eastern Wisconsin Regional Cancer Center, it was a collaboration of five respected cancer care organizations in Sheboygan County. The center was renamed and dedicated as a Vince Lombardi Cancer Clinic in 1999.
Board-certified oncologists provide high-quality medical care in the comfort and convenience of a clinic close to home. These same physicians, through their connection to Aurora St. Luke's Medical Center in Milwaukee, have access to top physicians who specialize in specific types of cancer.
You’ll find ourclinic easily accessible with a warm atmosphere to see your doctors and receive advanced diagnostic tests and treatments, including chemotherapy and radiation oncology all within a single facility. If certain tests or procedures need to be done at another facility, our clinic staff will carefully coordinate all arrangements.
When hospitalization is needed, every effort is made to coordinate it through your primary care physician and Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center. Should you need the specialized services available only at a major cancer center, you as a patient at the Vince Lombardi Cancer Clinic will have direct access to the services, staff and facilities of Aurora St. Luke's Medical Center.
The Vince Lombardi Team Approach
The Vince Lombardi Cancer Clinic offers an approach to care that encompasses your unique and total well-being. In Sheboygan County, this philosophy is carried out by a team of cancer care professionals that includes two board-certified radiation oncologists, two medical oncologists, four certified radiation therapists and four registered nurses certified in oncology. To help you cope with social and emotional concerns, the staff also includes counselors, a clinical nurse specialist, social workers and a chaplain. The team also includes our own psycho-oncologist and genetic counselor. Our onsite cancer team works in conjunction with your primary care physician, as well as the specialists at other Vince Lombardi Cancer Clinics and Aurora St. Luke's Medical Center in Milwaukee. Our physicians and staff also participate in multidisciplinary cancer care conferences through the Sheboygan County Cancer Program.
