Vince Lombardi Cancer Clinic in
Marinette
Established in 2006, we offer medical oncologists who provide high
quality medical care in the comfort and convenience of a clinic close to
home. These same physicians, through their connection to Aurora St.
Luke's Medical Center in Milwaukee, have access to top physicians who
specialize in specific types of cancer.
The clinic is easily accessible and provides a warm, compassionate
atmosphere for patients to see their doctors and receive advanced
diagnostic tests and treatments, including chemotherapy on an outpatient
basis. If certain tests or procedures need to be done at another
facility, all arrangements will be carefully coordinated by the clinic
staff.
When hospitalization is needed, every effort is made to coordinate it
through your primary care physician. Should you need the specialized
services available only at a major cancer center, you as a patient at
the Vince Lombardi Cancer Clinic will have direct access to the
services, staff and facilities of Aurora BayCare Medical Center.
Community outreach
Research has shown that patients who take an active interest in their
health care can have a more positive effect on their outcomes. Our
community outreach efforts focus on educating people about the facts
that increase their risk of developing cancer, identifying ways to
reduce their risk, and emphasizing the importance of early detection.
Activities include informational and educational programs like smoking
cessation, cancer screening opportunities, support groups and
newsletters for physicians and consumers.
Resource library
Our resource center helps patients and families search for and obtain
the information they need to make informed decisions about cancer
prevention, early detection and treatment. The library offers computer
access along with an extensive array of the latest videos, books and
pamphlets that can be checked out by patients and their families.
