Hotline staff put callers in touch with accurate answers to a variety of cancer questions ranging from prevention and detection concerns to how to access the latest treatments, research findings, clinical trials and area support groups. The hotline is answered 24 hours per day, seven days per week. SupportVince Lombardi Cancer Clinic connects patients with counselors, social workers and chaplains, and arranges for home care and hospice services, if needed. In addition, a variety of cancer support groups for patients and families are offered through the clinic and in the Sheboygan County area. The Vince Lombardi team approachThe Vince Lombardi Cancer Clinic offers an approach to care that encompasses each patient's unique and total well being. In Sheboygan County, this philosophy is carried out by a team of cancer care professionals that includes two board certified radiation oncologists, two medical oncologists, four certified radiation therapists and four registered nurses who are certified in oncology. To help our patients cope with social and emotional concerns, the staff also includes counselors, a clinical nurse specialist, social workers and a chaplain. The team also includes our own psycho-oncologist and genetic counselor. Our on-site cancer team works in conjunction with each patient's primary care physician as well as the specialists at other Vince Lombardi Cancer Clinics and Aurora St. Luke's Medical Center in Milwaukee.
