Heart care: Minimize your risk

The best way to deal with a heart problem is to prevent one in the first place.  Aurora offers heart care programs designed specifically to help patients prevent a serious cardiac event.

Health and wellness

A healthy lifestyle is the first important step.  Eat right, exercise, stop smoking and avoid other factors that might contribute to heart disease.

Executive Physicals

Executive Physicals are for company executives who often do not make the time to manage their health, yet may be at risk for heart problems. Through a thorough physical examination, evaluation of personal health history and diagnostic tests, participants in this program can determine their level of cardiac and cancer risk.

Karen Yontz Women's Cardiac Awareness Center

The Karen Yontz Women's Cardiac Awareness Center, located at Aurora St. Luke's Medical Center and in the new Aurora Women's Pavilion of Aurora West Allis Medical Center, was established to increase awareness of cardiac disease in women. The center is one if the first that is specific to women's unique hearts. It provides customized care to women and their families to help them understand the risk factors for heart disease in women and preventive strategies to offset them.
