Vascular Services

The Vascular Clinic at Aurora St. Luke’s Medical Center—the first in the state—offers a multidisciplinary team approach for vascular services, including treatment of peripheral vascular disease and other vascular ailments. Vascular Clinic specialists are board-certified and fellowship-trained leaders in vascular medicine. The multidisciplinary team includes vascular medicine specialists, cardiologists, neurologists, wound care specialists and podiatrists. The close cooperation of these experts—all located under one roof—provides an in-depth, customized approach to your specific health issues.

Located within the clinic, the lab is equipped with ultrasound to perform studies of veins and arteries, including carotid arteries. Ultrasound is simple and painless without any injections, needles or incisions.

Patients of the Vascular Clinic receive an objective diagnosis and advice on treatment options—from observation to lesser invasive balloon angioplasty or stenting to invasive coronary bypass graft surgery.

If it has been recommended that you require amputation of a toe, foot or leg, you owe it to yourself to contact the Vascular Clinic for a second opinion prior to surgery. The clinic may offer additional treatment options that may not be available elsewhere in the state.

The team is dedicated to research and innovation. We have investigators in multiple clinical trials such as endovascular (catheter-based) treatment strategies. At our Aurora facilities, we’ve implemented quality assurance programs to monitor and measure the outcomes of the services that we provide.

Aurora Health Care offers these services at many of our hospitals and some clinics.
