As the first dedicated vascular center in Wisconsin, the Vascular
Center at Aurora St. Luke's Medical Center offers many advantages.
Specially trained physicians and clinical staff
The medical specialists at the Vascular Center are board certified,
fellowship-trained pioneers and leaders in vascular medicine. In
most cases, they have devoted their careers to vascular medicine,
which means they are aware of the latest developments in the field.
Non-Invasive Vascular Lab
Located within the center, the lab is equipped with ultrasound to
perform studies of veins and arteries, including carotid arteries.
Ultrasound is simple and painless without any injections, needles or
incisions.
Convenience
Within the vascular center itself are lab technologies so you can
usually complete diagnostics and treatment in one place, including
blood draws and a Coumadin clinic. In fact, patients referred to the
vascular center can have initial studies conducted during their
first visit to determine presence of disease.
Second Opinion for Limb Salvage
If it has been recommended that you require amputation of a toe,
foot or leg, you owe it to
yourself to contact the vascular center for a second opinion prior
to surgery. The center may offer additional options for treatment
that may not be available elsewhere in the state.
Comprehensive, multi-disciplinary approach to patient care
The vascular experts at the center lead a team of experts from many
other areas of medicine, including cardiologists, neurologists,
wound care specialists and podiatrists. The close cooperation of
these experts – all located under one roof – provides an in-depth,
customized approach to your specific health issues.
