Many aneurysms do not have symptoms until they are large or starting to rupture. Often aneurysms are found when a patient is having a test for another problem and the aneurysm is discovered. Thoracic aneurysms are often found on a chest xray or CT scan, and abdominal aneurysms with ultrasound or CT scan.
