2010 Community impact
- 12,655 families were served through Aurora Family Service.
- 3,000 families were provided a full, at-home Thanksgiving meal at our Family-to-Family Thanksgiving event.
- 3,211 families repaid nearly $6.2 million in debt with the guidance of our financial counselors.
- 23 Family Therapy Training Institute post-graduate students brought new counseling options to families in need.
- 939 infants, mothers and their families were served through the Family Enrichment Program.
- 769 seniors were provided critical services with Elder Services, a program that helps seniors maintain independence in their home for as long as possible.
- 219 seniors with delinquent property taxes were able to maintain home ownership through assistance from the Homeowners Options Program for the Elderly (HOPE).
- 1,151 families were helped in obtaining health insurance and other community supports through the Public Benefits Connection.
- Every day, 1,500 families are actively receiving services from Aurora Family Service.
