13th Annual Family-to-Family Thanksgiving

The Family-to-Family Thanksgiving program provides a traditional holiday meal to area families in need. Recipient families are clients of Aurora Family Service and families referred through Aurora Health Care, schools, churches and other organizations.

Since 1996, we have been able to provide over 35,000 area families with a traditional holiday meal. This year will be no exception. Our goal is to help 3,000 families. Your gift will provide a family with a traditional holiday meal and all of the fixings.

Jamie's story

Jamie, a mother of four, has been a resident of Milwaukee's south side her entire life. She currently shares her home with her children and grandchildren. Five years ago, Jamie became physically disabled and was resigned to a wheelchair.

The holidays are especially difficult for Jamie as her limited mobility inhibits her from doing things that she was once able to do such as shopping for gifts, visiting friends and relatives, and providing a holiday meal for her family. For the past two years, Jamie has been a recipient of a holiday meal from Aurora Family Service's Family-to-Family Thanksgiving event.

The generosity of those who give through this program has allowed Jamie and her family to continue to share in their favorite holiday tradition.
