Reiki Training for Aurora Health Care Employees
Reiki (RAY-key) is a Japanese word for "universal energy." It refers to the art of facilitating the flow of energy from a Reiki practitioner to the person receiving it. Reiki practitioners place their hands lightly on or just above a person receiving the treatment, with the goal of facilitating the person’s own healing response. Individuals who receive Reiki report a sense of relaxation, enhanced ability to sleep, and reduced anxiety, stress and pain.
Reiki training (Reiki I and Reiki II) is provided to Aurora caregivers at no cost. Participants will learn about the philosophy and purpose of Reiki, experience a Reiki session and learn hand positions for the application of Reiki.
