Regional Parkinson's CenterAurora Sinai Medical Center, MilwaukeeThe Regional Parkinson's Center at Aurora Sinai Medical Center is a Parkinson's disease resource for patients and family members. A National Parkinson's Foundation Care Center, it is one of the nation's most comprehensive Parkinson's disease programs, featuring diagnosis, education, treatment and rehabilitation. Parkinson's disease is a degenerative neurological disorder that affects approximately 10% of the adult population over age 75.
Symptoms range from shaking, tremors and muscle rigidity to impaired balance and loss of fine motor skills.
Under the direction of Paul Nausieda, MD, a movement disorders specialist, the Center's team of professionals works with each patient to develop an individualized treatment plan. The goal is to reduce symptoms and keep each person as healthy and active as possible.
