Parkinson's Research InstituteThe Regional Parkinson's Center at Aurora Sinai Medical Center in Milwaukee is one of the largest centers of its kind in the U.S., seeing more than 100 patients per week. That give us an enormous database that can contribute to solving treatment issues, understanding the potential causes of Parkinson's disease and major research studies to better understand the long-term care implications of medications currently used to manage the symptoms of the disease.
Clinical researchNational research is a fundamental contributor to the overall goal of finding the cause and developing treatments for Parkinson's disease, essential tremor and other movement disorders. A number of potential treatments for Parkinson's disease now being evaluated in research centers show much promise:
Charitable giving to the Parkinson's Research InstituteGift arrangements will assist in supporting the Parkinson's Research Institute. Cash gifts, marketable securities and other gifts will be gratefully accepted. Some of these gifts include:
Aurora Sinai's Philanthropy Program has professional expertise to assist prospective contributors with the development of such gifts and can explain the charitable benefits and tax consequences associated with each gift instrument. All contributions and deferred commitments will be under the administration of Aurora Sinai Medical Center, a legally incorporated not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization. Gifts will be restricted based upon their designated purpose and formally accounted using appropriate standards. Gifts to the Parkinson's Research Institute are tax-deductible to the full extent of the law.
