Paul A. Nausieda, MD

Dr. Nausieda is a board-certified neurologist who is nationally recognized as a sleep disorders and Parkinson's disease specialist. He has written more than 100 publications on the subject of sleep and movement disorders, has received many professional awards, and has held numerous academic appointments, including associate professorships in the Department of Neurological Sciences and Pharmacology at Rush University and the Medical College of Wisconsin. He is currently professor of neurology at the University of Wisconsin – Madison.

His current practice is one of the largest and most comprehensive care centers for the National Parkinson's Foundation. He has been a principal investigator in 20 drug studies of experimental therapeutic agents being tested for FDA approval and acts as a consultant to a number of pharmaceutical firms involved in the development of new treatments for Parkinson's disease.

Gary J. Leo, DO

Dr. Leo is a board-certified neurologist and sleep disorders specialist. His area of interest is the diagnosis and treatment of Parkinson's disease. He also assists patients with dystonia and sleep disorders and has advanced training in the administration of botulinum toxin.

After earning his medical degree, Dr. Leo completed residencies in internal medicine and neurology and a fellowship focused on multiple sclerosis. A member of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, Dr. Leo is widely published and is a recognized movement disorder specialist. In addition to his expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of Parkinson's disease, he frequently speaks at professional conferences on the problems of cognition and mood as they relate to people with this disease.

Paul Mamerow, PA-C

Paul Mamerow, PA-C, is a certified physician assistant who supports the services provided by the doctors on staff at the Regional Parkinson's Center. He works as part of the medical team of physicians, nurses and psychologists who care for patients either diagnosed with Parkinson's disease or suffering symptoms of the disorder. Paul provides assessment, develops patient care plans and assists with drug management on both the inpatient and clinic basis.

Paul is licensed in the state of Wisconsin as a physician assistant and is a member of both the Wisconsin and American Academy of Physician Assistants. He completed the physician assistant program at Marquette University, earning a master's degree, and has earned NCCPA and physician assistant certifications.
