Custom Foot Orthotics Program

The Custom Foot Orthotics Program can provide relief for patients suffering from foot or leg pain related to faulty lower extremity biomechanics.

Orthotics are shoe inserts designed to control the foot and lower extremity alignment. Orthotics can also provide cushioning to increase shock absorption and pressure relief to bony prominences or sensitive areas. By controlling the foot, pain can also be relieved in the knee, hip or low back areas.

Patients referred to the Custom Foot Orthotics Program will receive a thorough biomechanical assessment by a licensed Physical Therapist to determine the type of orthotic device most appropriate for them. In addition, the clinician will provide appropriate exercise instruction to address any muscle imbalances in flexibility and strength as well as education on proper footwear.

Special features

  • Ability to prescribe both custom and over-the-counter orthotics to accommodate most shoe styles.
  • Ability to combine physical therapy, flexibility and strength exercise with the orthotics to gain optimal success.
  • Multiple locations throughout southeastern Wisconsin.
  • On-site minor modifications of orthotics available.
  • Quick orthotic turn-around time.
