Our 20th anniversary

Twenty years ago, the Aurora Sports Medicine Institute (ASMI) opened its doors and began serving patients. During the past two decades the ASMI has enjoyed tremendous growth, earning a well-deserved reputation for quality care along the way.

When the ASMI opened its doors on North 23rd Street in January of 1984, it was a small department made up of two therapists, one secretary and one manager/business development person. Through the years much has changed — new medical leaders, new satellite sites were opened in surrounding communities, and the downtown clinic facility has undergone extensive remodeling, expansion and growth.

The ASMI has worked with many different high schools and other sports teams and events – including just about every professional team in the city at some point (currently with the Milwaukee Admirals Hockey Team).

Throughout all of the changes and improvements our expert staff's dedication to personalized, one-on-one care has never changed. You can still “Go where the Pros Go” and “Get back in the Game” at the ASMI sites in Downtown Milwaukee, Brookfield, Mequon, Oconomowoc and Whitefish Bay – with an affiliate clinic in West Bend. Other sites are located in Two Rivers and others being considered in other regions.
