Aurora Visiting Nurse Association (VNA) of Wisconsin

Aurora VNAFor more than 100 years, the Aurora Visiting Nurse Association of Wisconsin has been providing home care with compassion, professionalism and clinical excellence. Founded in Milwaukee, the Aurora VNA now serves people of all ages throughout eastern Wisconsin.

Who receives Aurora VNA services

The Aurora VNA provides an in-home assessment to establish a plan of care for people who:

  • Have been hospitalized
  • Have had surgery
  • Have serious or multiple health problems
  • Suffer from a chronic disease
  • Are disabled, living alone or with a caregiver
  • Need assistance to remain at home – regardless of age, from newborn to elderly

How is Aurora VNA care paid for?

  • Private insurance
  • Medicare
  • Medicaid
  • Self-payment (a sliding fee scale is available if needed)

In 2006, the Aurora VNA...

  • had an average daily census of 2,127 patients
  • supplied 2,589 Lifeline® units
  • made 266,435 home visits
  • had 74,984 hospice benefit days
  • delivered 466,017 mobile meals
  • served 185 Adult Day Center clients
  • gave 92,537 flu shots
  • managed 799 in-home health monitoring patients

Individuals with concerns about patient care and safety are encouraged to contact Aurora VNA management at 800-862-2201.
