Mobile Meals
Mobile Meals
volunteers help deliver hot meals to households in Milwaukee and eastern Waukesha
Counties. In addition to the individuals who
deliver meals, several community organizations sponsor routes. Area
businesses are encouraged to sponsor a meal delivery route by
organizing a team of volunteer drivers. For information,

Hospice volunteers -- Central & northern Wisconsin
We are looking for caring individuals to serve as volunteers in our
Medicare Certified Hospice Program in north and central Wisconsin.
Hospice volunteers play an integral part in providing support to
terminally ill patients and their families and caregivers by offering
in-home companionship to patients. All volunteers are required to attend
a comprehensive 16-hour training led by members of the hospice team. If
you are interested in learning more, please contact Jane Shea, Hospice
Volunteer Coordinator, at 1-800-686-4314, extension 3032.
Home/Zilber Family Hospice volunteers
Other volunteers serve as part of the
hospice
team. They share their time and compassion with patients and families who
are going through an extremely difficult time. They do whatever the family
needs – from reading to a patient or running errands to providing respite
care while a caregiver takes a break. They generally spend 2-4 hours a
week with their patient, although this depends on each individual
situation. Training is provided.
