Aurora Women’s Health and Wellness Center
We offer a unique focus on a woman's complete well-being. Wellness is at the core of everything we do.
We bring together comprehensive medical resources, compassionate women’s health care experts, support services, healthy lifestyle strategies and individual attention, to help women make their own health a priority.
Created for women by women, our programs and clinics offer an innovative new approach that blends primary and preventive care with integrative medicine strategies – all designed to enhance overall physical and emotional health at any age.
The center’s diverse and highly specialized programs include:
Adolescent medicine is a subspecialty that offers a unique complement to primary care. Sensitive care is provided by a board-certified OB/GYN who has advanced training in adolescent gynecology. She offers understanding and sensitivity to help address the specific health and wellness needs of young women from puberty through young adulthood.
The natural midlife transition each woman goes through brings about all sorts of questions. It may be difficult to understand what is happening to your body, and even harder to know who to talk to for answers to your questions. Our experts are available to help you navigate through the questions and concerns that arise. Our goal is to empower you with the knowledge you need to successfully manage the physical and emotional aspects of menopause.
Women’s Wellness Clinic
Along with offering a comprehensive annual well woman exam, specialists at the Women’s Wellness Clinic encourage lifestyle and behavior changes necessary to achieve and maintain optimal health. They offer education and support to help individuals address and reduce risk factors associated with conditions including metabolic syndrome and diabetes. The program can also benefit women dealing with weight management issues, those who wish to stop smoking or those who want to move toward better health.
Women’s Cardiovascular Clinic (Inside the Women's Wellness Clinic)
Cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of death in women. Heart disease is responsible for more women's deaths than breast cancer and all forms of cancer combined. But it is important to understand that heart disease appears very differently in women compared to men.
Board-certified cardiologist, Maryam Gardezi, MD, works with each woman to address her unique and specific heart-related concerns.

Women’s Endocrinology Clinic (Inside the Women's Wellness Clinic)
The delicate balance of hormones throughout the endocrine system control and regulate basic body functions such as metabolism, growth, insulin production and sexual development. In women, the endocrine system also plays a role in fertility, pregnancy, menopause and other gynecologic issues. We offer a caring and sensitive approach to help address hormonal disorders specific to women, including thyroid, pituitary or adrenal disease, gestational diabetes, menopausal symptoms, polycystic ovarian syndrome and others.
Experienced care is provided by board-certified endocrinologist, Batul Valika, MD.
