Donor opportunities

The Healing Garden – A community health experience
"She who plants a garden plants happiness"

The Aurora Women's Pavilion treats the whole person, not just the disease.

Restorative gardens have been utilized since the Middle Ages when monasteries functioned as hospitals. The grounds would often incorporate an enclosed courtyard for the use of the residents. The natural setting was created to bring comfort to the sick.

For many, a place to feel the sun on your face, smell the fresh air and enjoy the beauty of a garden is an escape itself. Imagine how much it means to someone recovering in a hospital.

A garden is more than an "amenity." It speaks to the mind-body connection that we know is so important in the healing process. Patients in facilities that offer this benefit report mood changes that make them feel calmer, stronger and refreshed.

We have plans to build such a garden, but we need funds to accomplish it. Your gift will help us achieve our goal and you will be kept up to date on our progress.

Sexual Assault Treatment Center (SATC) Fund

The Sexual Assault Treatment Center (SATC) of Greater Milwaukee is open 24 hours a day. The SATC provides services to anyone who has experienced any type of sexual assault or abuse.

Aurora Sinai Medical Center's SATC provides nursing, social work and advocate staff that give immediate services. The satellite center at Aurora West Allis Medical Center offers nursing services from a sexual assault nurse examiner.

The SATC provides services regardless of the ability to pay.

Make your gift a tribute to a special person

Any occasion can become a lasting a tribute. Mother's Day, Father's Day, birthdays, anniversaries, graduations, weddings, the birth of a child or the passing of someone special. Remembering a loved one shows how much you care.

Make a gift in honor of your loved one. They will receive a letter that tells them of your thoughtfulness (it does not disclose the amount of your gift) and your support of women's health here in Wisconsin.

You may also choose to designate your gift to a specific health program you, or your loved one, support.

Circle of Support

We appreciate your support at any level, but if you are able to give $100 or more, you will join the Aurora Women's Pavilion Circle of Support. Members receive special recognition of their gift in the Pavilion donor recognition newsletter Transitions, receive Pavilion updates and will be invited to a special recognition event.

We hope that you will join us in supporting these programs that will benefit people here in our community.
