A Study for Women with Late Stage Endometrial Cancer     (GOG 0209)     

The purpose of the study is to find out whether treatment with the two-drug combination of carboplatin and paclitaxel is as good as the current standard three-drug combination of cisplatin, doxorubicin, and paclitaxel in advanced or recurrent endometrial cancer.

Participants must:

• be a women 18 years or older.
• have advanced or recurrent endometrial cancer.
• not have another cancer.
• not have serious other health problems.
• not have serious heart disease.
