Prostatic Cancer (RTOG 0232)

The purpose of this study is to compare the effects (good and bad) of two different radiation treatments in patients with prostate cancer. The effects of placing seeds into the prostate after external radiation therapy will be compared to the effects of using the seeds alone in patients with prostate cancer.

To participate in this study you must:

  • Have been diagnosed with intermediate risk prostate cancer
  • Have not had prostate surgery
