        Metastatic Cancer to the Brain (RTOG 0614)

The purpose of this study is to compare the effects of memantine with placebo on memory and thinking in participants receiving whole brain radiotherapy. 

This study is being done to see if memantine will be effective in preventing thinking problems after whole brain radiotherapy.  

To participate you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Plan to receive whole brain irradiation
