The GORE Reduce Trial is a research study that compares medical managment to closure of a Patent Foramen Ovale (PFO) in prevention of recurrent stroke.

To participate in the GORE Reduce study, you must

  • Have had a crytogenic stroke or TIA in the past 180 days
  • Have a Patent Foramen Ovale
  • Be between 18-60 years old
  • Not have a a clotting disorder
