The purpose of this research study is to evaluate Patent Foramen Ovale (Hole in the heart)  closure in patients with recurrent stroke and who have failed conventional drug therapy

To participate in the PFO Access study you must:

• Be between 18 and 80 years old        
• Diagnosis of a second stroke and hole in the heart called a Patent Foramen Ovale
• Failed medical management for stroke
