(HealthDay News) -- Flying is safe for most healthy women who
are pregnant, the American Congress of Obstetricians and
Gynecologists (ACOG) says, although some airlines have restrictions
during the last month of pregnancy.
The ACOG offers these general suggestions for pregnant women who
travel by plane:
Try to reserve an aisle seat, so you can get up and stretch
your legs during a long trip.
Don't drink carbonated beverages or eat foods that cause gas
before you fly.
Always wear your seatbelt on the flight, with the belt beneath
Ask your doctor about anti-nausea medication if you tend to
feel sick during flights.
